Rubish Tuesday #13

Farmers always have plenty of old stuff around. Friday evening while JD picked cucumbers, I took a few shots of some of Bro O's old things.
Like this old pile of tires/wheels. Some were truck tires and some from tractors.
This old wheelbarrow was once bright green. Now it is mostly rust.
As is this old disc. Is it disk or disc? I've always spelled it d-i-s-c, but when I googled I see it spelled both ways. Hmm. Which do you use?
Farm gasoline. This old tank has kept many a tractor/combine/cornpicker in the field.
Lastly, a little old and a little new. This rusty barn roof makes a nice place for a hornet's nest. It is new and not very big yet. The really bad thing? It is right by our garden.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will join in the fun.

My idea was to have a place to post 'old things'.  Anything old and/or deteriorating such as old houses, barns, outbuildings, old cars, rusty things, antiques, interesting junk, or it can be something in pristine condition, but just old.

I have often wondered about the disc vs. disk thing. If google doesn't have the answer, we're all screwed ;-)

Yep, farms are great places to find rusty things. :) I hope someone gets rid of the hornets nest before someone gets stung. I've been stung three times this year already and it was NOT fun.

Roan, I am working on participating here and believe me there is plenty of junk in our bit of country but I need to get caught up and get the workmen off The Tiny Ten. My goal truly is to participate. Trying to hang in for Good Fences too! We spell it disk, maybe it's a Missouri thing. Although I have seen it spelled disc. Love the snap of the disc/disk and the tank!

I have a very similar wheelbarrow to the one in your pic. I would be inclined to spell it disc too. Thanks for hosting, I am always looking for old things to photograph now.

Aging has a magical effect on gas pumps. That's for sure.

Ayyya- I would get that hornet's nest moved soon! I've always used disc too, I didn't know about the "k" spelling. I like the gas pump on the tank- that's cool.

Great "old things"! I got some photos on our trip that I will be posting for Rubbish Tuesdays so don't give up on me! I hope your meme will grow. been encouraging my Mom to join in...she has lots in her archives she can post (right now she's complaining she can't get out in the heat to take pictures so I think this will be perfect).

Farms are some of my favoritest things in the world! Oh, the wheelbarrow! I always fancied a ride in it when I was little.

I am inclined to spray paint old stuff around here! My hubby best watch out, too!

He has lots of old stuff. The gas tank looks very similar to one my grandparents had on their farm. My grandfather used it for many years.

You found a great collection of vintage farm stuff!

As for disk/disc, I always typed 'disc,' but I worked in the medical field for many years. From what I find, it's interchangeable.

Thanks for hosting!

So many cool finds on this farm. Love the shot of the disc/k...I have no idea of the correct spelling.

Love seeing all the old stuff on a farm. Before looking at this, I didn't know the disk/disc was called a disk/disk. So I am definitely not one to advise on spelling!

Oh, I wish I had farm close to my house to find these magical old rusty beauties♪♪♪ Oh, I remember surprised after checking with E-dic with the word 'disc/K' and knew both works p;)

Have a wonderful day, we are having scorching hot summer.
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

I would definitely NOT LIKE the hornet's nest. But my favorite today is the farm gas pump. That's cool.

I use disc, but who knows. I always thought disk was for your back, as in 'slipped...' :-) Great photos and cool stuff. Do you live next door by any chance?

Pretty neat. A farm is a great place to go shooting.
